The world premier of Dracula, an origional musical, which was written, direct ed and performed by fourth year medical students was at the Pleasance Theatre, Edinburgh, on Thursday 15th April 2004.

Welcome to the 4th Year Medical Student's Play 2004: a brand new, origional musi cal based on Bram Stoker's classic tale of bone-chilling horror, Dracula.Of course, everyone knows Dracula. H e is a Halloween costume; a pantomime villain; a cartoon; a particularly numerat e muppet ... but he is much more than that. His story, as Stoker told it, is full of every kind of drama and emotion. It is funny, thrilling, romantic, teriffyinf, disturbing, erotic ... And Dracula himself, far from being the cheap boogieman of so many apocryphal adaptations, is a terrifying seductive monster; like a mixture of Mr Darcy and Satan.
