My roots in the art world definately lie with the impressionist masters such as Monet and Degas and here you see my own interpritations on the themes of flowers and sunsets. As a child the view from my bedroom window was an unimaginble variety of northern sunsets so it is not supprising that they feature heavily in my later work. However it will not escape your notice that I edge now more towards the simplistic styles of later artists focusing on simple shapes and blocks of colour, particularly in my portraits and life drawing.
